Work through your projects

48 Days to Creative Income, Day 6

Day #6: Work through your projects
I’m not sure what “projects” I’m suppose to work through, but I look at this as items that I should view as creative income potentials.  “I want to..”, “I’d like to…”, “I’m qualified to…”

Let me look at the “dream” jobs:
I like to read, so I’ve always wanted to write.  Fiction is obvious, since I don’t care for this reality.
I like computers and technology, but I don’t like working within the constraints that Project Managers and Directors force on me.  I’d also hate to see myself writing and then maintaining systems for users all by my lonesome.  That would be a nightmare of development.  Now if I could distribute and wash my hands of it, that is another matter.
I like games, I like TV, I like sleeping. I like Chinese food.  If I could just figure a way to combine those.

What I’d like to do goals:
I’d like to work at home, not in an office.
I’d like to work the minimum number of hours a day that I can (So far, I’m guessing everyone is agreeing).
I’d like to make just as much money as I make now.  If not more.
I’d like to work with a set of priorities and goals that I SET. Not someone else.

What I’m qualified to do:
By now readers, you can guess that CubeWarrior and Desk Coder are IT professionals.
Personally my skills set has lapsed as technology advances at such an incredible pace.
Skills sets were sacrificed because, the man, did not have a need for new skills.  Old technology had to be maintained.  New technology was the forte of consultants and new employees.

Superficially, I guess what I’m looking for is some way to either achieve my fantasy job of writing (which I’m terrible at) or somehow work with computers and programming, but unlike now, I’d work with them under my own terms.

Technically Quittingthedayjob.com is already an implementation of that goal.
Do I need the other 42 days?
