Education Vs. Internet Business

Cube Warrior had a great post yesterday titled Education vs. Certification.  Basically he explained the pros and cons of getting your degree and getting certifications.  While it was a great post, it really only benefits you if you still want to work for “The Man”.

But wait, you say.  This blog is about quitting your day job, so why talk about helping you in your struggles working for the man?  I mean, the only situation in Education vs. Certification that would benefit the people like me who want to quit the day job would be getting your MBA.  With an MBA, if you want to start your own business, you would have a few tools that would aide in your journey.

So let me add more to your plate.  Do you go after Education and Certifications, or do you work for yourself?  Let me throw a scenario at you: You go for your MBA.  You do an hour of homework a night.  It takes, say, 2 years to get it.  Now, that hour a night for 700 or so days is 700 hours.  I will leave you with this question:

Do you use those 700 hours for an education, or do you use those 700 hours to build your own money making Internet business?
