Quitting The Day Job

One Month Progress Report

So Quitting The Day Job (QTDJ) is one month old.  Cube Warrior and I told ourselves we would look at the progress we made after one month, and decide if we should continue or not.  Well, not to frighten anyone away, but we are going to continue for at least another month.  Here are our statistics after one month:

• 3000 backlinks (Yahoo) - Not bad, but from only 7 blogs.  Most of the backlinks come from being the Top Commentator on a few blogs.
• 20 posts - Not bad again, but we both fell off the wagon big time at the end of the month.  This will certainly change as both Cube Warrior and I have some big goals for September.
• 300 visitors and 650 page views - Not bad for a new blog, but most of it was from someone stumbling one of our posts.  Another bad point is 0 search engine traffic, but hey, we only have 20 posts.
• $0 earned - Yeah, well, we only have a small sponsors section.  We did get two clicks on our Adsense ads, but Google ain’t giving us any money.

Overall, yeah, we are a new blog, and the more we write and promote, the better the blog will become.  I am thinking we need a facelift, so I may work on that this month.  More details on the upcoming month coming in my next post.
