September Recap and October Goals

If you don’t remember, here are my September goals for QTDJ:

1. 15 posts - I plan on making at least 15 posts this month.  I think my total was 10 last month, which is not enough.  If QTDJ is going to get popular and get some Search Engine traffic, then we need to have content, good content.
2. More backlinks - and probably not what you think.  QTDJ has close to 4000 backlinks now, but from only 7 other blogs.  One of my goals this month is to get backlinks from more blogs, basically raise our Technorati authority.  This will mean commenting on more blogs and spreading our name out there a little more.
3. More traffic - More overall traffic, and more repeat traffic.  This will hopefully come from more content, better content, and more promotion.
4. Double our Feed Subscriber Count

I believe I accomplished a lot in September. I had 17 posts, two more than what I had set as a goal. QTDJ received more backlinks, up to 6000, but we are also received more exposure from other blogs. We now have a Technorati authority of 23 (up from 7).  We also got a PR1 during the last update, which was nice, but I thinking we would get at least a PR2. We also saw an increase in traffic, double what we had last month. As for the feed count, we had a glitch in our feed that made it show only summaries which probably made anyone thinking of subscribing not subscribed, but that has since been fixed.  On a side note, we made $.84 in Adsense!

This month, basically just more of last month goals:

1. 20 posts from Desk Coder.
2. More backlinks and a higher Technorati Authority (shooting for 40).
3. More Traffic (hopefully we can double it again like September).
4. 50 RSS Feed Readers.
